**27th Hawkeye State Insulator Swap Meet** will be held another year at the Tama Civic Center on Saturday June 1st from 8:00 AM-3:00 PM. The Tama Civic Center is located at 305 Siegel Street in downtown Tama, IA 52339. Those dealers planning on setting up can do so starting at 7:00 AM. There will be an auction mid-morning with part of the proceeds going towards the cost of supporting the show which continues to be free for those attending. Dealers are encouraged to bring items they may want auctioned off. Lunch will also be provided to our guests. Those wishing table space should contact the show host in advance for availability. The show brings in not only collectors from Iowa, but most surrounding Midwest states and is a very relaxed atmosphere which folks enjoy. We have 35 PLUS++ tables, all located inside a large heated warehouse graciously provided by fellow collector Sean Duffy. There's never an admission or table setup charge and our 35 tables are free while they last, or you can bring your own. Plan a road or plane trip to see the Great Rocky Mountains spectacular display of Springtime beauty, and maybe hang around for a few extra days to see more of beautiful Colorado. This show is all about us collectors, and continues to get better with each passing year, so whether this will be your 1st or 10th time, come out for a day of buying, selling, trading, and talking insulators with like-minded friends. A delicious homemade lunch entree is being prepared and donated by the club along with assorted chips, dips, drinks, salads and desserts. **First Wabash Valley Insulator Show** will be held August 3, 2024 at the Shelburn Community Building, 30 Interurban St, Shelburn, IN 47879. Dealer set-up will begin Friday, August 2nd, at 2:00 PM EST. The show will open to the public at 8:30 AM, Saturday, August 3rd, and run until the last man leaves that evening. Sunday morning, the building will be open for dealer teardown. This day will not be advertised to the public. The show is located off of Highway 41 in Shelburn, IN, less than half an hour south of Interstate 70 in Terre Haute, and 35 minutes to Highway 50/150 in Vincennes. Just three hours from major cities such as Chicago, Cincinnati, Dayton, Fort Wayne, Louisville, and St. Louis, this is the perfect central location. Lodging is available in Sullivan, just 6 miles south on Highway 41. $30 for first table, $25 for each additional table. The swap will be held at Mitchell Allen Memorial Hall, 160 Alexander Street, Toccoa GA, located at the historic Toccoa Depot and next door to the Currahee Military Museum. This is always a well-attended show location with great assortment of insulators available. Admission is free and there is no charge to set up a sales table for Dixie Jewels members.
